Hi,

A .bak  file is a backup copy of an AWStats database file (.txt  file). To view the stats as they are recorded in the backup file, rename the extension from .bak  in .txt .

I suggest that you read Run Reports: Building and reading reports. This is the third part of AWStats Installation, Configuration and Reporting. Feel free to get back to us if you have any question.
