Hi there,

i am stuck here with a awstats installation and a customized apache log

the log looks like this

172.16.xxx.xx – – [20/Aug/2010:12:17:48 +0200] 139113 "GET /index.php HTTP/1.1" 200 2887 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10_4_11; de-de) AppleWebKit/533.17.8 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.1.1 Safari/533.17.8" "-" -

and my awstat log file part like this

LogFormat = "%host %other %other %time1 %other %methodurl %code %bytesd %refererquot %uaquot %otherquot %other"

so here we go:

/usr/bin/awstats_updateall.pl now -confdir="/etc" -awstatsprog="/var/www/awstats/awstats.pl"

Create/Update database for config "/etc/awstats/awstats.hostname.conf" by AWStats version 6.9 (build 1.925)

From data in log file "/opt/access_log"…

Phase 1 : First bypass old records, searching new record…

Searching new records from beginning of log file…

Jumped lines in file: 0

Parsed lines in file: 210277

  Found 0 dropped records,

  Found 210277 corrupted records,

  Found 0 old records,

  Found 0 new qualified records.

i also tried the latest stable version without success. would appreciated any help here cause i am stuck with this for about 5 hours and i think the solution could be quite simple, but i dont see it at the moment ^^

thanks in advance!

Hi,

I don't see any error in your LogFormat directive and version 6.9 is okay.

A few things to check or try:

- Aren't there unusual characters in the log files, maybe at the beginning or at the end of the lines ?

- What character is used as field separator ? Is it a space or a tab ?

- Copy a small portion of the log file in another file and try to run the update from this small file

Sorry, no better idea for time being.
