Hi, i have a stand alone installtion of awstats 6.95 on a cpanel server where the log files are backed up in the format…

domain.com-Jul-2010.gz

domain.com-Aug-2010.gz

If my understanding is correct, then i will need to combine these two logs in order to get accurate results, however i'm not certain on the format the LogFile entry should use for this. Would the following work?

LogFile="/pathtotools/logresolvemerge.pl /path/to/logs/*.gz |"

Your LogFile directive is correct.

I must say that I do not understand what you mean by "accurate results" though.

That's great thankyou!

I'm probably wrong about this but what i meant by "accurate results" was that if i'd used something like…

LogFile="/path/to/logs/domain.com-%MO-%YYYY"

then when the daily update is ran on the 1st of the month, it wouldn't be processing the log entries that have occured in the hours since the previous days update, as they would be in the previous months logs?
