Hi Kevin,

I don't see the words “non web traffic” in my AWStats reports. Where do you see that ?

Is this an AWStats question ? As far as I know, the words “non web traffic” are not used in AWStats reports.

In Microsoft web servers, “nonweb traffic” is the traffic from the local internal network and “web traffic” is the traffic coming from the rest of the world (at the other side of the company firewall). Is it what you mean here with “nonweb traffic” ?

Depending on the setup of the firewall, the web server will see the external IP addresses of the visitors or it will only see the address of the firewall. If it only sees the address of the firewall, all the traffic will look like “non web traffic”.

Sorry, I didn't understand your question.

In fact your log format is not compatible with AWStats because it does not include the %bytesd field (called sc-bytes by IIS). This field contains the number of data bytes sent by the server to the client.

If you call %bytesd the time-taken field, AWStats should work, but all data related to bandwidth and number of bytes will be wrong.

I would try this LogFormat :

LogFormat = “%time2 %other %other %method %url %query %other %logname %host %ua %other %referer %code %other %other %bytesd”

Note that I removed your %host_r and I added %query and %logname.

Let me know if this helps.
