I am searching for a clear awstats installation manual for IIS 5.0 on Windows 2000 server. I have managed to get Windows 2003/IIS 6.0 installation manual but not able to find a perfect Windows 2000 manual.

Your help will be most appreaciated.

Hi,

There is a well known paper from Ihsen Consulting that covers AWStats installation on IIS 5.1 and IIS 6.0. I am not sure that it will help you as I do not know how different IIS 5.0 is.

Another issue is that IIS 5.0 does not support Web Service Extensions hence there might be a slight difference. Maybe if someone can confirm if the information in the setup file (awstats_setup.html) does work for Windows 2000 I will give it a try. Or if somebody did install awstats successfully on Windows 2000 server an they kindly post the procedures.
