Part of the Tip Tools for Hits says image. Is there anyway to remove images from the Hits statistics.

I have this in the skip files but it either does not work or has no affect on hits:

SkipFiles=”REGEX[\\.(css|js|htm|axd|dll|class|jpg|png|bmp|asmx|html|htc|com|ini|ashx|pd|as|odt|gov|inf|oft|jsp|jar|tmp|aspz|asps|cfm|gif)$]“

And yes I deleted all old logs files prior to importing them again.

SkipFiles works fine and what it removes is removed of all sections of AWStats reports.

 

The regular expression should not start with two backslashes. I would try something like this:

SkipFiles="REGEX[\.(jpg|png|bmp|gif)$]"

I removed several file extensions to keep it readable here, but you can add as many as you like.

 

You are right that SkipFiles is only effective on data which are not yet in AWStats database files.
