Thx for help

Hi,

It is impossible to remove a day of data from the AWStats database. The question is what you mean with “generated in a wrong way “.

If no update timestamp and no data was added, you should just run the update again with the correct settings.

If updated timestamps were added to the database without data, you need to manually edit the timestamps and then run the update again with the correct settings. By timestamps, I mean the numbers following “LastLine ” and “LastTime ” in the August database file. The format of these numbers is obvious: 20080805221210 means August 5, 2008 at 22:12:10.

If incorrect data was added, you need to move the August database file (awstats082008.your-domain.txt ) to another directory (or rename it) and re-run the updates for all days of August. This assumes that all the August log files are still available.

There is a KeepBackupOfHistoricFiles  option in the AWStats config file. So maybe you have a backup copy of the previous version of the database file (.bak file) ?

Assuming you do not have this backup copy, you can try to edit the .txt file and then run the update only for the log file that was forgotten. I expect that most data in the generated report will be valid. In fact, most sections should be correct, but there could be incorrect results for the number of visits and visits duration. Please make a backup copy of the .txt file before you run this special update.
