Hello everyone,

I have been seaching the web for my problem, but no succes.

I hope someone here can help.

Awstats worked fine until i made a IIS 301 redirect for the non www domainname to www domain name.

explenation IIS 301 Redirect

Now the awstats aren't updating.

Lets assume my domain is domain.com that i'am redirecting to www.domain.com

Under IIS manager i have added the old website

domain.com (no www) with a redirection to www.domainname.comlSQ

i made a newwebsite http://www.domain.com with the nessary webfolders and files.

I need this because of seo issues, google sees domain.com and www.domain.com as different sites.

I have added in the following tot the awstats.domain.com.config file

SiteDomain=”domain.com”

HostAliases=”localhost 127.0.0.1 www.domain.com domain.com”

Awstats isn't updating the files no more but ftp stats work fine.

Do i have to rename the config file or something ?

p.s i'am using plesk panel, domain.com is the configured domain.

Hi,

In typical IIS systems, AWStats is controlled by the Task Scheduler that runs it once a day. I would check that the AWStats update command is still present in the Task Scheduler. Also check that the update command is using the right AWStats config file. By the way, the config file must be called …something.conf  and not …something.config . The LogFile directive in the AWStats config file must point to the directory that contains the web server log files. It is possible that this directory was changed when you made the changes for the redirection.
