Hi Everyone,

I have IIS6 and AWStats 6.9 and I only want to include only visits to a particular path in the Referer field of the logs. 

eg: If the Referer field is mydomain.com/somthing.asp – don't include

If the Refer field is mydomain.com/SomePath/somthing.asp include this.

I've tried using a Regex statement in HostAliases like REGEX[mydomain\\.com/somepath$] but that does not work.  I get no records.

Any ideas appreciated.

Hi,

HostAliases  allows you to exclude some domain names from the stats. In "mydomain.com/SomePath/somthing.asp", the domain name is "mydomain.com" and what follows is not part of the domain name. On top of that, HostAliases  does not apply to the referrer field, but to the domain of the accessed URL.

There is no option in AWStats to exclude hits coming from some referrers, but you can monitor some specific data with your own extra sections where you exclude a group of referrers defined by a regular expression.
