Jean-Luc,
Only the one backup – which gets overwritten every time the process runs.
We've never backed up the current month – only previous months after they became static. This was always considered "low priority data" – until it stopped working. Funny how that happens.
I was going to send an e-mail to take you up on your merge offer, but I was finally able to repair my existing file, and am now importing the logfiles from the 20th forward (I stopped deleting logs after the issue began).
I have to say, I love your awstats site. I've been running awstats for about 5 years, against about 3 dozen sites. While I love the product, and 99.9% of the time it just runs and gives me no issues at all, when you do have an issue, "good" help is hard to find. We're an all windows shop, and typically when I see folks on the windows side posting for awstats help, most responses tend towards "RTM" or "switch to Linux".
While it turns out I was able to solve my own problem, I have read your postings here, and you're providing a great resource. Well done. If I encounter anyone who needs awstats help beyond my ability to provide, you can bet I will direct them to you.
In Your Service,
Joseph King
