Hi,


I have tried the following lines in the AWStats config, I scheduled a bat file to run at 9.50am daily to get the prevoius days activity from the logs before the 24hrs period is up. When the task runs it tries to update the next log file that has not yet been created.


LogFile=”C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC134295608\ex%YY%MM%DD.log”


LogFile=”C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC134295608\ex%YY-24%MM-24%DD-24.log


Can someone be of some assistance.

Hi Steve,


The IIS log file uses GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). AWStats uses the web server local time. Thus if you are in Australia and if your web servers are in another Australian time zone or in the USA, three different time zones are involved… Can be tricky.


If one daily update of the stats is enough, you should wait till the log file is completed (24 hours period is up) before you run the update. In this case, use:

LogFile=”C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC134295608\ex%YY-24%MM-24%DD-24.log


If you want more than one update per day, you will need to change the LogFile option depending of the time of the day. The batch file calling awstats.pl will have to take care of that.
