I am currently using awstats in a load balanced web farm. I set it up last year, had a few issues and looking through the forums was able to fix them.
One of my problems was the time that w3c stamps within the log files. The time on the log files e.g. exDDMMYY.log works perfectly. Also my system time works well and is synch'd now aswell.
But it is what time the visitor is logged at within the log file e.g.
When I checked this out last year, I saw a post from jean-luc saying it was a big problem, so I dropped it. I have come back to it now, as I (and others) find it irritating looking through the logs having to calculate back one hour.
So where does w3c get its time from? Can I change it to my gmt Dublin?
I am not sure I understand your message. Your log file uses GMT and your local time is GMT+1 hour during the Summer months (Dublin, Ireland). This one hour difference is probably not a major issue for most webmasters in Ireland or in the UK.
Anyway, you can use the AWStats TimeZone plugin (only during the Summer months), if you want that the reports show your local time:
