I am on running awstats on a windows server via IIS 7  I have seen this issue before but have no idea how to solve it..

When clicking on zoom with this config:

LogFile="D:/awstats-7.3/tools/ d:/weblogs/pw1/u_ex%YY-0%MM-0%DD-2.log
d:/weblogs/pw2/u_ex%YY-0%MM-0%DD-2.log |"

I get Bad File Descriptor

But this config works:

Any ideas why?

I have not been able to reproduce your issue.

I have a Linux system where the Follow Me plugin runs without problem with

LogFile="/home/ws1/awstats_tools/ /home/ws1/data/BBB/logs_current/*.gz |"

I don't see why it would be different under Windows.

You may have a permission issue to execute though.

Here is an update.  I modified this line:

LogFile="D:/awstats-7.3/tools/ d:/weblogs/pw1/u_ex%YY-0%MM-0%DD-2.log
d:/weblogs/pw2/u_ex%YY-0%MM-0%DD-2.log |"

to this:

LogFile="perl D:/awstats-7.3/tools/ d:/weblogs/pw1/u_ex%YY-0%MM-0%DD-2.log
d:/weblogs/pw2/u_ex%YY-0%MM-0%DD-2.log |"

And I no longer get the bad file descipter but a permissions issue.

So then I changed the account that IIS runs under to an account that can access the windows shares where
the logs are it now works.  Well, no errors.

However, not when I do a zoom on entries I know are in the log, nothing is ever found.

Here is my log format:

LogFormat="%time2 %other %other %other %method %url %other %other %logname %host %other %ua %other %referer %host_r
%code %other %other %bytesd %other %other"

Is this ok for follow me?
