I am not getting reports for a specific page that spammers are trying to use

My extra section is

ExtraSectionName3=”Comments Added”

ExtraSectionCodeFilter3=”200 304″

ExtraSectionCondition3=”URL,\/blog\/comment_add_cgi\.php”

ExtraSectionFirstColumnTitle3=”Visitor”

ExtraSectionFirstColumnValues3=”HOST,^(.*)$”

ExtraSectionFirstColumnFormat3=”%s”

ExtraSectionStatTypes3=PHBL

ExtraSectionAddSumRow3=1

MaxNbOfExtra3=10

MinHitExtra3=1

My log file has

59.94.146.188 - - [06/May/2008:17:07:24 +0000] “POST /blog/comment_add_cgi.php HTTP/1.1″ 200 16179 “http://steveforster.is-a-geek.com:8008/blog/comments.php?y=08&m=04&entry=entry080407-124602″ “Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1)”

I see the comment_add_cgi.php in the Pages-URL report OK, so I am a bit confused.

Hi,

I don't think that there is any problem with your extra section.

Take into account that the new extra section will be present in the AWStats report as soon as you include it in the config file, but it will stay empty untill your next update of the stats. On top of that, AWStats does not go back in time: the parts of the log file that have already been analyzed and included in the AWStats database will not be processed by the new extra section.

Thanks Jean-Luc,

I deleted my May results from awstats and re ran the analysis.

All worked fine, thanks for stating the obvious Laughing.

Hopefully, this will help me keep tabs on those pesky spammers.
