Hi,

I was asked to basically find a way to estimate the efficiency of an AdWord campaign with Awstats.

The idea is the following: The user click on the Google aid or banner and is redirected to the page http://Mysite/GoogleLendingPage that will be available only from this banner.

Tracking these users should not be difficult.

The complicated part is, to find out these users that will the next time com directly to the site, by typing http://Mysite/index.html or by clicking using a previously saved bookmark.

Any suggestion on this, or alternative approach would be very appreciate.

Hi,

I would consider two approaches with extra sections.

1. Extra section that lists all referrers of the landing page

2. Extra section that lists the IP addresses of the visitors of the landing page

The list of referrers is not perfect because a few visitors hide their referrers and the list of IP address is not perfect either as some ISP's change the IP addresses of their clients from time to time.
