I have read in the AWStats info that there may be a way to log what Cities the IP adress comes from. I saw some code on their site for it, however, I am using cPanel and Vodahost and can't find where that's embedded in order to change the code to include logging cities in my stats.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

This can be done with the GeoIP City plugin.

The Geo::IP Perl module, that is available from Maxmind, is required on your system in order to run the GeoIP City plugin. If you are on a shared hosting, you will need to ask your host if he agrees to add this module to Perl if it is not yet installed.

The GeoIP City plugin also requires the city database from Maxmind. You can download the free version of the city database or order a more accurate version from the Maxmind website.

To activate the GeoIP City plugin, add this line in your AWStats config file:

LoadPlugin="geoip_city_maxmind GEOIP_STANDARD /insert_path_to/GeoIPCity.dat"
