I am using AWSTAT. I am using it for IHS. I have the log format as below.

"%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b %{RH}e %{WAS}e %D"

I am not able to create a awstat log format which parses this.

Thus in awstat file i have added the following line in awstat configuration file.

LogFormat="%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b %{RH}e %{WAS}e %D"

This is working fine.

Issue is i want to view response time statistics also. How to view and analyse response time statistics with this format.

Kindly advise.

Hi,

There is no nice way to generate response time stats with AWStats.

With an extra section, you can get some stats, but that's far to be perfect. Some ideas here: http://www.internetofficer.com/forum/extra-sections/awstats-and-time-taken-in-seconds/.

Thanks for your response.

Yes. I tried this one with below format.

LogFormat="%host %other %logname %time1 %methodurl %code %bytesd %other %other %extra1"

And Extra section as :

ExtraSectionName1="Response Time (in microseconds)"

ExtraSectionCodeFilter1="200 304"

ExtraSectionCondition1="URL,\/"

ExtraSectionFirstColumnTitle1="Response Time"

ExtraSectionFirstColumnValues1="extra1,([0-9]*)$"

ExtraSectionFirstColumnFormat1="%s"

ExtraSectionStatTypes1=P

ExtraSectionAddAverageRow1=0

ExtraSectionAddSumRow1=0

MaxNbOfExtra1=200

MinHitExtra1=1

But unfortunate this is not to productive rather as it just provides unique response time count which is practically useless.

There is a link(https://gist.github.com/eristoddle/5672037) found about a patch which after i apply works and generate additional data but i am not able to get the data displayed in the page. Can you help me on this please.

Thanks again.
