Referrer clickthrough anonymizer? Prefix referrer URLs

I'd like to prefix the URLs in the referrer reports with another URL to send my clicks via an anonymizer service, or maybe my own script right now, if I click a link, the URL of my AWStats installation will be passed in the HTTP referer information.

I have LocationMatch rules and other security set up, but I'd still rather not expose the URL of my AWStats install if I don't have to.

If I can't prefix the hyperlinks, maybe I can turn off the hyperlinks so any user looking at the AWStats referer report would have to copy and paste the URL to visit it. Less convenient, but more secure maybe.

I've searched a lot but can't find anything, either no-one else cares about this or my search terms are wrong!! ;-)

Thanks in advance! Tim

Ps. This WYSIWYG text box overflows in Firefox and I can't see it all which is why all my lines end in a carriage return.

Hi,

What you try to do looks complicated to me. Depending on your goal, I suggest two possible solutions:

1. You could protect your AWStats reports with a user name and password. This would make it impossible for third parties to look at your stats.

2. You could also setup up your browser so that it hides referrers. This is easy to do with Opera and with a few other browsers. If you always use this browser to access your stats, the address of your AWStats reports will not appear in referrer lists.

Regarding your PS, it is true that a few display problems have been introduced by the last update of the forum software. We will try to have this solved as soon as we can. Thank you for your feedback.
