Some robots don't identify themselves as robots in their useragent.  Microsoft bot under IP range 207.46.0.0 – 207.46.255.255 is one such bot.  I tried putting ip in robots file but I think it looks only in useragent so it doesn't work.

Is there a way to resolve this?

Hi,

The AWStats robots detection method is exclusively based on the user agent.

There is no easy solution to introduce other criterias. I did some work about this for a client and came with a solution adding a "filter" that parsed the log file a first time, modified it slightly and then passed it to AWStats. This method produces significant improvements in the robot detection.
