Hi, I read in awstats tht its not possible to generate weekly statistics but I was wondering if there was a work-around.. just like there's a workaround posted here for quarterly stats..

Thanks

Hi,

There is no obvious solution.

If the week is entirely within the same month, you could generate a specific set of AWStats data files (specific AWStats updates) based on the log files of the seven days of the week in question.

If the week goes over two months, you can do the same thing, but at the end, you will have to generate a "yearly report" to get everything on the same page.

And if the week goes from some day at the end of December to the day seven days later in January, I don't even have any work-around.

Well, you should probably create a new AWStats config file just for this purpose. Then run the updates from the command line:

./awstats.pl -config=abcd -update -logfile=/path/to/logfile_of_monday

./awstats.pl -config=abcd -update -logfile=/path/to/logfile_of_tuesday

./awstats.pl -config=abcd -update -logfile=/path/to/logfile_of_sunday

When this is all done, you should have the stats of the week. Above commands can vary slightly depending on your system.
