Is it a mistake to disallow the Googlebot-Image for SEO and page rank purposes?

    2. Jean-Luc says:

Disallowing Googlebot-Image will not change the PageRank of your pages. It is probably not going to change the way your pages are indexed at all.

On the other hand, you are going to lose the visitors coming from Google Image searches. If your web site contains many images, this can be a lot of lost visitors.
