To disallow Googlebot-Image does not impact PageRank. In my opinion, the important question is whether people searching for an image belong to the groups of people you want to visit your web site. The answer to this question is very much dependent on the nature of your web site.

Disallowing Googlebot-Image will not change the PageRank of your pages. It is probably not going to change the way your pages are indexed at all.

On the other hand, you are going to lose the visitors coming from Google Image searches. If your web site contains many images, this can be a lot of lost visitors.
