Hi
I’m moving into wordpress 2.2 and installing genko localization plugin…
http://wp-multilingual.net/en/
with genko activated your plugin does not work. any ideas?
also, do you know if WP has plans to “search pages” as a standard feature?

Thank you for your feedback. I have installed Genko on a test blog to check this compatility issue. I translated a few pages and everything was still working fine. I have not been able to reproduce the problem you talk about.
If we have to further investigate, it would help if you explain in details what does not work in your blog: no search at all ? no search in some translated pages ? no search in posts ? in pages ? error messages if any ? option choosen in Genko configuration ? …
Regarding your last question, please check WordPress Track, ticket #1435

Hi,
I’m not quite sure what to do with your search tool after activating it. How do I get it to appear on my WordPress website so that I can begin to search Pages and Posts?
Thanks,
David Elliott

Hi David,
The regular WordPress search box only searches among Posts. Once you have installed and activated this plugin, the same WordPress search box, will search among Posts and Pages.

Is there anyway i can remove the section that shows where results are stored? Ie. which category? I have alot of pages and every result for them shows up as being in UNCATEGORISED.
Thanks for the plugin.

Ah, i’ve got it sorted, of course i needed to edit the theme’s template….

Hi
Thanks for the plugin. I have one quick question – is there any way of excluding certain pages from appearing in search results? If not, perhaps this is something that could be added to a future version of the plugin?

Hi,
Thanx for the plugin.
I’ve got the Blue Horizon theme on my site with WordPress 2.2. I’ve installed your Search Pages plugin and activated but all I seem to get, no matter what I search for, is ‘Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.’. I’m a newbie, so could you please let me know what I’m missing here?
Thanks,
Raja

Hi,
I use WordPress as CMS on many sites and have been using your plugin in all of them.
Since all my CMS sites have pages which are more important than the posts, I was wondering if it was possible to list all pages before posts in the search-result pages?
Thanks,G.

Weird. It isn’t including any of my pages in the search results at all. It’s still just showing posts. No errors, but no pages either. I’m on 2.2.1
July 15th, 2007 at 5:31 pm
When search results include pages, the “Recent Posts” widget in my sidebar lists a number of webpages, not blog posts as intended.

We have it running here on WordPress 2.2.1 without problem. Please open a new threat in the Seach Pages forum with more details in order to allow us to reproduce the problem.

It is very likely that your widget uses the WordPress search routines modified by our plugin. “Recent Posts” will include pages only if some of your pages are more recent than your posts.

Jean-Luc, is there a way to modify the plug-in to allow it to search either keyword or description meta tags? I have some advertisements that are generated via javascript includes using phpadsnew and then I add the text from the banner add into WordPress as decriptive meta tags but your search plug in doesn’t see meta tags so I am wondering if there is way to modify it to do so.
Thanks!

There is probably no easy way to do it and, frankly, I have no plan in this direction. Sorry.

Thanks for this excellent plug-in. One question: does this work with WordPress 2.3?
September 25th, 2007 at 1:26 pm
Richard,
Search Pages 2.0 does not work with WordPress 2.3. We just released Search Pages 2.3 for total compatibility with all WordPress versions from 1.5 to 2.3.
